Dear Mr. Pate,
I’ve been enjoying Pate’s Place very much! You have so much great information here and I have enjoyed how you “put it all together.”
Arrangers and arrangements of songs are topics that I have been really interested in. Particularly, an album that you did with Shirley Horn, “Travelin’ Light.” I love that album: “Big City,” “Yes I Know When I’ve Had It” and all the others are fantastic. I have been working on transcribing your arrangements from that date in order to learn how you guys do what you do! Would you ever consider commenting on that album and your arrangements for your site here? Many thanks for the beautiful music–
Jayn
